A pioneering Rutgers/NJ Dept. of Health course sparks “reunion” meetups—planting the seed for NJAIHA’s local section.
Becoming a Section
Leaders elect a chair, form committees, draft bylaws, and secure AIHA approval—turning momentum into a formal Section.
Building Regional Bridges
Bylaws align with AIHA standards; the first Tri‑Section Meeting with Philadelphia and Metro NY starts a lasting tradition.
On the Statewide Stage
NJ’s first Industrial Health Conference debuts in Newark; voices hit radio; NJAIHA helps lead nationally in Atlantic City.
Scaling Our Impact
Membership tops 100; members contribute at the XIII International Congress (NYC) and launch joint meetings with safety engineers.
Embedding IH in NJ
Membership reaches 143; NJAIHA exits the Technical Societies Council and brings IH thinking to NJ college libraries.
