Protecting New Jersey Workers for
Over 80 Years

For more than eight decades, NJAIHA has led the effort to protect worker health across New Jersey. What began in 1945 as a small group of professionals has grown into a statewide community advancing education and safer workplaces.

Our mission continues with the same dedication and collaboration that defined our founding, empowering professionals to create healthier environments where every worker can thrive.

Advancing Worker Health Through Knowledge and Collaboration

  • NJAIHA brings together professionals from industry, academia, and government to strengthen the practice of industrial hygiene and safeguard worker well-being. Through education, research, and the exchange of ideas, we promote the study and control of environmental factors that impact health at work.

  • Our members share a commitment to learning, leadership, and collaboration—ensuring that New Jersey’s workplaces remain safe, healthy, and resilient.
