Under the supervision of the Physical Plant Manager, the Airport Environmental Services Manager will manage the JFK Environmental Unit 673 in executing the various environmental maintenance activities required to assure regulatory program compliance as it relates to JFK environmental permits. Direct and coordinate the environmental maintenance functions as they relate to the preservation of airport infrastructure and aviation assets. Manage the efficient utilization of overtime-related expenditures to address mandatory regulatory program compliance obligations as well as critical repairs not captured under capital and operating major work programs, conduct weekly staff meetings with supervisory staff to assess, prioritize, reallocate, and deploy environmental resources effectively to assure regulatory program compliance with the goal of attaining zero infractions. Develop, execute, and manage the unit operating budget in accordance with facility needs, agency goals and the departmental business plan.
